The waterfall is man-made. It is believed that early settlers diverted the drain so it ran higher and could be used for irrigation.
The land along it was first sold as “Working Men’s Blocks” (see Chronicle No 21)
Waterfall Drive was part of a grand development scheme in the 1920s called Kingsland.
